I have a sentimental passion for taking care of the young and elderly. At the age of 17, my father, a Marine Corps Veteran of 15 years, retired and became very sick suddenly while I was attending high school. His illness was a shocker to many. He was diagnosed with a inside-out bone crippling disease called Scleroderma. Around my 12th grade year of high school he passed away leaving a huge gap in my heart of disbelief. I decided to dedicate that missing void into taking care of others the same way my mother and I took care of my father.

During this year of 2022-2023, I was lucky to be picked and enroll into the Clinical Nurse Assistant (CNA) Program at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North Mississippi. I worked at Baptist for a couple of months on a chronic Med/Surg floor taking care of 15+ patients daily with bathing, oral care, clothing, exercise and more. My training was consistent, humbling and near and dear to my heart.
