Tyler’s Bio

1. Why do you love being a caregiver?

I love being a caregiver because it’s something that’s very personal to me. I help take care of my parents, my dad is paralyzed and my mom is wheelchair-bound so I understand firsthand how important compassion, patience, and reliability are. Being able to support others and make their daily lives easier gives me a strong sense of purpose. I enjoy building trust with the people I care for and making sure they feel safe, respected, and valued.

2. What experience do you have?

I have hands on professional and personal caregiving experience. I worked as a Resident Assistant at Seashore Highlands, where I assisted residents with daily living activities like bathing, dressing, mobility, and meal support. I also worked as a PCA at Right at Home, where I provided in-home care, companionship, and support tailored to each client’s needs.

In addition to my professional experience, I care for my disabled parents at home, which has given me real life experience with mobility assistance, patience, and understanding long-term care needs.

3. What skills and training do you have?

I have strong hands-on caregiving skills, including assisting with personal hygiene, mobility support, and daily routines. I’m patient, dependable, and very attentive to detail, especially when it comes to noticing changes in a person’s condition. My experience has also helped me develop strong communication skills and the ability to stay calm in challenging situations.

Because of both my work and personal life, I’m very comfortable working with individuals who have limited mobility or require ongoing care, and I understand how to provide both physical and emotional support.
