I love being a caregiver because it allows me to bring comfort, dignity, and support to people during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. As a nursing student graduating in May, I’ve gained experience in a variety of care settings, which has taught me how to stay calm, compassionate, and attentive to the needs of others. Through my clinical rotations and hands-on caregiving experience, I’ve learned how to assist with daily activities, communicate with patients and families, and recognize when someone needs extra emotional or physical support. These experiences have helped me build strong caregiving skills and the confidence to care for people when they are at their lowest. Being able to offer kindness, patience, and steady care is something I value deeply, and it’s a big part of why I’m committed to this field.
