I have had about 3 years experience working as a Nurse's Aid at a nursing home in Kansas and Greensboro N.C. I also was a caregiver for my Grandma in 1972-1974, I would go by her house after work to assist her with bathing, cooking, and any other chore that needed to be done. In 2001-2007, I was a caregiver for my sister who had cancer. In 2012 I was a caregiver for Dean Green of Green Ford who's Mother was 95 years old, she was a lovely woman. Sadly Mrs. Green passed away and I only got to take care of her a total of 6 days stretched out over 6 weeks. In 2014 to the present I have been helping take care of my Mom who has Alzheimer's. We also have a CNA assisting us with Mom. I love so much to help others and I respect them all. I feel this has been my calling, I love to be able to in some way make a big difference in their life. I am a compassionate, trustworthy, respectful, person. I am adding to my profile the following. The past 2 years I was a caregiver for a woman who was 97 years old and had Dementia. She passed away in September 2017. On November 7, 2017, I was a caregiver for a 90 years old sweet lady named Pearl. She had Heart related illness and moderate Dementia. Her husband Kenneth was 90 years old and still very active. I took care of her 3days a week, which allowed her husband to go run errands and do whatever he needed to do while I was there. She walked with the assistance of a walker. I would give her baths, and whatever else that she wanted to do. Her passion was singing, I came from a singing family so her and I would sing together. Pearl loved to talk and I enjoyed our conversations. Sadly, Pearl passed away on December 3, 2018. I really miss her.
