Eileen’s Bio

My name is Eileen Johnson and I am fully vaccinated and looking for part-time work for people who've been vaccinated and fully follow covid guidelines..

I have experience with people of all ages in home and in hospital as an RN and had been licensed in N.C., until I cancelled inactive status. My training as an RN helps me to deal with my patients in a therapeutic fashion, by looking for underlying causes rather than reacting to surface behavior and forming a plan to better my patient's self esteem & daily living.

I've had experience working for many families who needed care for their elders. Many patients have dementia, some were blind or going blind, some needed help with bathing, meal preparation, meds and fluid intake reminders and exercise.

I live in South Charlotte in the Raintree Village I relocated to Charlotte 8+ years ago from Long Island, due to illness in my family in Virginia Beach and a desire to live near one of my three children; my daughter and her family lives in the Ballantyne area. I now enjoy interacting with seniors and children, using my talents in a way that brings me joy and satisfaction.

My hobbies include tournament style Scrabble, baking & cooking, active games, gardening, stained glass, nature photography, sewing and piano.

Please email to talk and then possibly meet me and see if I'm the right person to meet your needs. I've worked for four families and can furnish additional references.

Letter of Recommendation

For: Eileen Johnson
From: Mitch & Cristy Snyder

To Whom It May Concern:

In November, 2020, we hired Eileen to be a full-time Nanny for our 3 month old baby girl, Clare, who is our first child. Right away, we sensed an aura of calm and comfort with Eileen. During the interview, she asked if she could hold Clare and you could see her world light up when Clare smiled at her for the first time. After Eileen started the job, we immediately saw how much she loved giving Clare attention and how much she cared for her. Our house isn’t that big and with both of us working from home due to COVID, we could hear Eileen’s interaction with Clare throughout the day. It was amazing and so comforting to hear Eileen having full on discussions with Clare, singing her songs that we haven’t heard since we were kids and even performing exercises and stretches with her throughout the day. She has a warmth in her heart that, we believe, only a few people have. To have the patience and desire to spend your entire day with a child who is only a few months old and to truly enjoy that time means you have a special place in your heart for the happiness that a child can bring. It takes a lot to have someone else watch your child, especially your first. But, we trusted Eileen and we knew Clare was in good hands. There was never a moment of doubt that Eileen would do everything she could to provide the best care and love to Clare. Another thing that amazed us was her patience and admiration for our two dogs. Beau & Luna are big dogs that a lot of people may be timid around but Eileen quickly became friends (the treats may have helped!) with both of them and became quite fond of them as well. We would highly recommend Eileen and would have kept her on as Clare’s Nanny if it wasn’t for Clare getting into a daycare right down the street that we felt pretty connected to.

Eileen was also very helpful with light cleaning around the house on a daily basis with Laundry, cleaning the dishes & making sure things were cleaned in the kitchen before she left for the day. She was always open to helping prepare dinner during the day so that everything was ready to go at the end of our work day. She also went out of her way to help address our holiday Christmas cards which was very helpful!
We still plan on having Eileen in our lives, and especially in Clare’s life, as she grows up and will most definitely use her for any babysitting opportunities.

I cannot say enough nice things about Eileen. We have three children, however, the oldest two are older and in school full time. Eileen started watching our youngest son, Henry, when he was 4 months old. She was wonderful with him. She did everything from active stimulation/play as well as introducing him to music and other languages. She became like a grandmother to Henry. She was the only person I could leave him with where he wouldn’t get upset that I was gone. He looked forward to her visits every day. She regularly brought the most wonderful baked goods and treats for all of us. We were all spoiled by her! She also constantly brought toys and books that she knew Henry would enjoy. She truly felt like a part of the family. When Henry was napping she always went above and beyond to help me around the house without even asking. I always came home to a clean house. Clean dishes, extra formula made, laundry folded, floors swept, etc. I was so grateful to come home and not see a pile of things that I still needed to do. We still keep in touch with Eileen and consider her a part of the family. If you are so lucky to be able to have Eileen become a part of your family I highly recommend it. You and your children will love her. Please feel free to reach out to me via call or text at 678-472-1830 if you would like to speak with me personally about Eileen or have any questions. Best, Katherine

Eileen has been a warm and caring companion for my 85 year old mother diagnosed with moderate Alzheimer's for over 2 years. My parents do several activities together, but my father regularly has activities to go to by himself. Eileen lives about 15 minutes away and stays with Mom in their home. She plans a variety of activities of interest to Mom, like playing ping pong, watching old movies, and visiting a nearby farm and petting zoo. And Eileen is an accomplished baker who has treated our family to her scrumptious toasted coconut cake for Mom's birthday! She has been a great help to our parents and our family appreciates the care she provides. Rebecca D.

One word to describe Eileen is a Treasure!! She is truly one of a kind in caregiving. She cares for my Mother who is 92 years old and is amazing with her. Eileen is patient, kind and understanding. She is also a terrific baker and cook and the whole family enjoyed her treats she would bring with her. I would highly recommend Eileen for any caregiving position.

Eilleen has been watching my 4 year old son and 2 year old daughter for almost a year. She comes one afternoon per week and my children really enjoy her. They make cookies, play hide and seek and play outside. Eilleen is very responsible with my children and I feel very safe having her watch them when I am at work. She keeps my house orderly and even does laundry for me when she has time:). Highly recommend her!
