• Having a repour with patients of all ages – this was my favorite part and what did not seem like a “job”. Whether it be getting a child excited about his first visit to the dentist or easing the anxieties of the elderly that had been traumatized by dentistry of old, I loved the human interaction. I have discovered that in tense situations I am very adapt at putting people at ease. What I enjoyed most was making our practice truly feel like family dentistry.

My original goal was to be a teacher. I had been accepted to Clemson University and would have started in August of that year. In July of 1998 I found out I was pregnant with my daughter Sadie. I took some time off from school as I discovered raising her was going to be the most challenging and rewarding education I could ever receive.

I decided to go back to school once my daughter was older. As I have always been told I am a care-giver, I thought dentistry would be a good fit for me as well as my family. It was. I graduated top of my class and received the Outstanding Student Award.
