I love being a caregiver because I enjoy the company of elderly people. I find it fun to be around them and hear about their experience in life.
I am a Retired Army Veteran and prior to that, I worked in Nursing homes and did hospice care for over 10 years. During those 10 years, I interacted with elderly clients who had various medical conditions while assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs).
I retrained for the Certified Nursing Assistant Course (CNA) last December at Fayetteville Community College (FTCC). I have passed my State written exam and planning to take the skills exams soon.
I also have a Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration from Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC.
