In my professional career I have provided care for children for the past 14 years. However, I have provided care to my father for 6 months during his home hospice. I provided all of his daily care ie bathing, cooking, adult diaper changing, administering medication, house keeping and companionship. I That was the most rewarding experience of my life. As a society, I think that we do not respect and revere our elderly the way other cultures do and that is very disheartening to me because their wisdom and companionship is priceless.
