First let me thank you for taking the time to look at my profile! My name is Annika, and I'm a 30 year old college student and mother. I've been an CNA for about 9 years, and absolutely love what I do! I'm CPR Certified, love to cook, and I'm very tidy! Taking care of other has always been a passion of mine, I guess I take that after my mother, who's a retired nurse. Weather it's taking care of a newborn, or a woman/man in their 80's, my love, compassion, and dedication never changes. I am a firm believer in treating others the way you would like to be treated so I do just that, I also know that when working with the elderly, you have to be cautious as to not make them feel helpess always encourage and praise them because it takes alot to ask for or accept help when you've been on your on for so long. When working with children I believe books before fun, I love to have fun, play games, do crafts things of that nature, but not before homework or learning block. My children are straight A students because I feel the future is in their hands so it's my duty to help mold them in preparation for all the many things the universe will pitch to them once they become adults.

I'm very laid back but firm when needed, I becomes we once I work with a family, we grow together, learn together, love, laugh, and cry happy tears together (I'm very sensitive, I've cried hearing a baby say it's word or watching a woman walk again after months of rehabilitation) I am always smiling positive, outgoing, friendly and a little silly at times simply because I love and have a heartfelt passion for encouraging and supplying loving care that will help promote positive behavior, exceed educational or developmental goals and give the person/family I'm caring for a beautiful memory and a permanent sense of accomplishment.
