I have been doing Private Home Health Care, for almost 6 years. My first PHHC job, was sitting with Mr. & Mrs. E.L. Thomas. The wife had MS & was bed ridden & I took Care of her, for several months. Meal prep., Cleaned & changed diapers (Depends), gave meds & was a companion, for her to talk with & watch game shows with. Also took Care of her husband, when he was diagnosed with Cancer, so I then took Care of both the husband & the wife together, until the husband passed, & she moved to Virginia, with her daughter, but passed also, shortly after. I have worked with several other elderly singles & elderly couples, within the past 6 years. I also took Care of my Mother, during the last 3 years of her life. She had emphysema, & I helped her shower, lifted her in & out of the bathroom, fed her & gave her meds, when needed. She passed in September of last year, after many years of emphysema. I Love Taking Care of the elderly, because I feel like they have lived a full life & I love to make them feel & know that they are still loved & make them laugh & keep them as comfortable as I can, so the can keep their mind off of their situation, as much as possible. I feel more privileged doing what I do, than anything else I've ever done. I am a very nice, honest, loyal & trustworthy person. I try not to let anyone down, rather it be my family, or someone I take Care of, because to me, the ones I take Care of, become family to me, blood related or not. That's my passion & I hope someone does the same for me. 💜💜💜
