What an exciting & somewhat stressful time in your lives!

It's my hope that I am able to help alleviate that stress.

I am Comillia & I come to you with over 25yrs of experience form infants thru highschool! Kids and teaching are two of my greatest PASSIONS!

So,just a little more about me!

Prior to COVID I owned & operated an in home day care. With having to close due to parents' decrease in household income. After some careful consideration I wanted to return to my roots so to speak & those roots are working as a babysitter & nanny! I've had the pleasure of also helping take care of my grandmother and great aunt as they were strong willed but needed a little help as they got older and a little forgetful so it was gaining that experience that I wanted to attend St. Augustine's University, where I majored in Elementary Education. In my 25 years plus career I have had the pleasure of working as an in-home nanny to being a Public School teacher. I had the privilege of teaching Kindergarten, 1st, & 3rd grades. I have served as both, daycare Director & Assistant Director, while doing so I successfully introduced the "More at 4" program to several traditional child care centers. Back To my roots, as an in-home nanny I’ve gotten to love & care for several children at once to just one child at a time, to include children with special needs whether it was medical, physical or emotional. I humbly was successful in making sure each child met & exceeded their developmental milestones. As an educator I am HUGE on making sure that each child I am blessed to work with hits those milestones.Those preschool years are the most important time in a child's life, for it sets their educational foundation which follows them as they matriculate through "big school" & on to College! Because of that, I love working in unison with my parents in what I call "carry over" learning. Meaning, when we are trying to introduce new concepts parents are interactive in continuing the learning process through fun games/stories when I’m not in the home with the children. CREATIVITY is, for me, key when working with my little ones. I love & am a believer in these sayings, "Team work makes the Dream Work!" & It takes a village to raise a child/ren!” I would love the opportunity to meet & join your village!
