I began caring for the elderly in about 1975 when my grandmother had knee surgery and had to come live with us so, she wouldn't be alone and would have help with her personal care needs . When I was a little girl I helped to care for my great grandmother who had cancer. I helped to feed and comfort her. I enjoy doing for those who can't do for themselves it gives me great joy I loved it then and I love caring for others now. I have 41 years experience. Have worked in 2 nursing homes , several home health agencies. and many private homes. I received my license in 1990 while employed at Guardian Care Nursing Homes, in Roanoke Rapids for 6 years . I received on the job training there also.
