Amber B. Care Companion in Shelby, NC 28152

My name is Amber Burris. I am 32. I Grew up watching my grandmother (who raised me as my mother) run her own daycare, and always work with children. She now has an AFL. I have my credentials in childcare, and work currently as a paraprofessional at One on One Inc. I have been a paraprofessional for over 9 years. My role as a PPA vary from person to person. Some are very close and hands on, for example: feeding, cleaning/changing, bathing etc. Others require little assistance for example guiding them as they carry out different tasks to increase independencey. Prior to that I worked at Bojangles from 2009-2018. I went from being a crew into management. I left Bojangles to gain more skills and expand my work titles I have worked with many people of many ages. The youngest being 4 years oldest being 88. I graduated from Crest High School in 2008. I have 4 children all in school. They will be 15, 13, 11, and 4 this year. I also have a fur baby he will be 7 this year. I enjoy what I do, which is talking to people, helping others and making others smile.
