I am well educated (college graduate in top 5% of my class) and well traveled. I respect people of all ages, religions and backgrounds. If you are a present, past or future pet owner, we're already compatible! I became a caregiver at an early age due to my late father's early-onset Parkinson's disease. Following his death, I cared for my grandmother when she became elderly. I cared for my mother who developed vascular dementia five years ago until her recent death. I undertook these obligations out of concern and love for my family members, while working full-time in the financial industry and being a single parent. I did have help and did not consider myself the primary caregiver in any of the above situations. However, I gained MUCH experience. And from that experience, I know what is required- a nurturing soul, some patience and understanding, My ideal client would be seeking companionship and assistance with errands, shopping, meds, cooking, and light housework. And a sense of humor (but not a requirement!)
