I love being an in-home caregiver because it allows me to make a positive impact on families' lives by providing compassionate and reliable care to the best of my ability. My passion for caregiving stems from my own experiences with family members who needed care, along with nannying part-time. These experiences taught me the importance of patience, empathy, and dedication. I have about 2 1/2 years of experience as a CNA and an in-home caregiver, working with children and specializing with elderly individuals. In my previous roles, I have provided assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding. As well as having familiarity with certain equipment such as vital sign machinery, oxygen concentrators, catheters, aspirators, ostomy bags, etc. I have supported mobility through safe transfers and ambulation, working with clients in which are bed bound and considered a "Fall Risk". I have monitored vital signs, assisted with toileting and incontinence care, and ensured proper nutrition and hydration. Additionally, I have managed medication reminders, performed basic wound care, maintained clean and safe environments and offered companionship to promote emotional well-being. I am certified in First Aid, AED, and CPR, as well as being trained with dementia care, PPE, and fall prevention. Given my combination of CNA skills, hands-on experience and dedication, I am hoping to deliver attentive and individualized care tailored to each clients' needs to the best of my ability!
