Hi,

My name is Brittany Patrick. 22 - years - old, and I recently graduated with honors from Johnson C. Smith University with my Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. Since graduating, I have been preparing myself for hopefully being able to pursue my Master of Science in Biology at North Caroline Agricultural & Technical State University. My ultimate career goal is to attend medical school, obtain my medical degree, and to become an Obstetrician - Gynecologist.

As far as providing care is concerned, I have my CNA I Licensure, which has afforded me the opportunity to care for various age groups and people with varying health conditions within the nursing home setting, home setting, and even group home setting. I have gained most of my experience in caring for others from assisting my family with caring for my 98 - year - old grandmother who has been battling Dementia/ Alzheimer's Disease for well over 15 years. I guess you could say that I truly have a heart for helping and caring for others and connecting to people.

I trust that all of these experiences gained have molded me into the caregiver I am today, as well as the outstanding and humble medical professional I will become one day. For I know the center of medicine goes beyond science and textbooks; sometimes it just takes a kind word, a delightful smile, and an eagerness to understand, connect and sympthize with others that makes all the difference.
