Darla S. Care Companion in Bellevue, NE 68005

I have been working in Head Start for upwards of twelve years, interacting with kids on the spectrum, with Down Syndrome, and multiple other disabilities. On top of this, my grandson is autistic and I grew up with a mentally disabled sister, taking care of her from a very early age. A few years ago, I was an in home care companion for a 97-year-old woman. I was part of a 24-hour care system where we took care of all of her needs.

I hold this area of care companionship dear to my heart because of my relationship with my sister, and the experience it was caring for her while I was growing up. I love working with kids on the spectrum and learning more about how to help them thrive. I have done multiple trainings in the area of Special Needs and am currently CPR and First Aid certified.
