Hello! My name is Michele but I prefer to be called Shelley. I have found my true purpose as a caregiver a little later in life. I am by nature a very kind, compassionate and empathetic human being. My personality is warm and friendly and I find people naturally drawn to me.
I have raised a family of 2 daughters who each have 2 children of their own. I obtained my CNA license so I could take care of my father when he was sick. I also now help take care of my elderly mother.
My professional experience includes working as a nurse assistant in the local middle school nurses office for 8 years. I most recently have 2 years experience supporting seniors as a caregiver in their own home environment. I have also spent the last 1 1/2 years working in the memory care unit of a local assisted facility.
It gives me great pleasure to be able to make my clients day a little easier and bring them joy. They are always so appreciative. I have also learned so much from each of my clients. It’s a win for both of us. I love my job and enjoy going to work everyday.
