After raising a family and working as a paralegal/office manager for 10 years, I returned to school as an adult to complete a Bachelors Degree in Social Services. During this time, I worked as a parent mentor and provider for supervised visitation through a subcontractor to CPS. I became interested in elder care after taking a Sociology of Aging course during my sophomore year. I spent 2 years interning as an Activities Director, Community Liaison, volunteer and ethnographic researcher at a low-income, elderly women only home in Morristown, NJ. This experience piqued my interest in the rapidly growing elderly population and further confirmed my desire to work with them.
