I was a care companion through the New Jersey Personal preference program. I took care of my great- grandmother for 3 years. After her passing I then began to care for my grandfather who was in hospice until his passing as well. I'm very familiar with what this job entails. I cleaned, drove them to doctors appointments, cooked only when necessary, and bathed and changed pampers when necessary. I've also done childcare for family and friends since the age of 14 and I have a child of my own. So I'm able to handle all ages and or, the challenges of this particular job. I love helping people it really gives me a sense of purpose.
