I have over 10 years of caring for the elderly. I chose not to renew my HHA certification because in NJ it is only valid under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, and as a freelance Caretaker, I am not employed by any agency. I love working with seniors because I like to keep busy and make people smile, knowing that despite the pain that physical ailments may cause, I can come in and brighten someone's day. I’m great at taking initiative and being resourceful. Too often is the psychological welfare of our elderly neglected, so even if I can come in and simply be by their side, your loved one will feel heard and validated.
