I have volunteered at a couple of nursing homes. During my time there I was responsible for helping the elderly perform daily tasks such as dressing and eating. I was also responsible for keeping them company and also entertained. I loved my time there. I enjoyed hearing their stories, simple small talk, and obtaining the wisdom they had to share. I enjoy watching television, listening to music as well as playing music (i have played the piano for over 15 years), cooking and baking (i attended a culinary institute and took a class in baking and pastry arts), board games and card games, I also enjoy taking walks and other activities. I love being able to help others and believe there is nothing better in the world than being able to put a smile on someone's face!!
