By age five or six while helping my mother care for my sister who had polio and two spinal operations I decided I wanted to become a nurse. I assisted a neighbor with her toddler and infant child. By twelve, I assumed my sister's regular babysitting clients, one being our dentist's three daughters. I attained my education and R.N. in 1967. First working at St. Barnabas Medical Center, followed by work while we lived on Long Island, returning to NJ and providing care for intergenerational patients at Kessler Institute. I have attained 28 teaching credits and a health care management degree from MSU. Served as a scout leader for fourteen years, and a swim instructor for seven years at the West Morris YMCA. I have introduced multi intelligence workshop style curriculum to four churches during twenty five years of church work. For five years, I have served as a Children's Minister at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Springfield, NJ. Most gratifying was being a graduate student at Drew University while our son completed his biology major. He teaches in the school system in Fukui City, Japan. I work with a no kill shelter for animals in Stewartsville, NJ where over 1,200 animals were rescued last year.
