I became a caregiver 2 years ago and didn't even realize it. I have ALWAYS been there for everyone at all ages to lend a helping and loving hand. I was helping my ex boyfriend take care of his grandparents who are 91 and 93 years young. I did everything from helping bathe his grandmother, cook and prepare meals and snacks, cleaning, helping with errands, doctor appointments, and also companionship. Even though I did not go to school for this, it was just a very natural path for me. I have lived in NYC for the last 14 years and have been back in New Jersey for the last 2 years. I am a certified esthetician and laster medical technician and will go back to work in that field but right now this is what I feel is the best career for me right now.
