I truly love being a caregiver, especially for seniors. I’m friendly, patient, and naturally connect with the elderly — many even say I remind them of their granddaughter, which helps build trust and comfort. I’m 35 years old and have two years of experience working at Sunrise Senior Living, where I provided full care to residents with dementia. Before that, I also cared for my grandmother for several years as she battled dementia. It was a challenging role that not many people could handle, but I took it on with love, patience, and dedication. That experience taught me the importance of compassion and consistency when caring for someone with memory loss. I’m now looking to return to providing in-home care. I always treat seniors with respect, supporting their independence while offering gentle guidance. I understand the emotional and mental challenges of dementia and never get frustrated or raise my voice when they forget things. My goal is to make them feel safe, valued, and truly cared for in their own home.
