My lifetime experience came from on the job training. I raised 2 sons (now adults) and would assist working parents during this time via babysitting, after school, homework & transportation. I provided caretaking for my in-laws (not from USA) with Dr’s scheduling,transportation, paperwork, medication, meals & bathing. In 2018 I became the sole caretaker for my husband w/Stage IV stomach cancer. I attended MSKCC care & nutrition classes in NYC in addition to caretaking during hospice. Following his passing I was the sole live in caretaker of both his parents for one year until relocation to an assisted living. In 2019/2020 I relocated to provide live in caretaking for my Mother with full onset dementia, deaf, & diverticulitis. This included round the clock care of Dr’s, transportation, meal prep, feeding, bathing, housekeeping, light outdoors and a course taken for understanding sundowners syndrome. I continued this care until Hospice. I work well with Dr’s in understanding the patients needs. To date I now assist in pet walking on an as needed basis as many transition back to work. I’m not certified, however, I bring the heart, compassion required to assist in caring or babysitting your loved ones.
