I love being a caregiver because it gives me the chance to show up for people when it matters most. Volunteering at a hospice has been one of the most meaningful parts of my life—I genuinely enjoy sitting with patients, sharing laughs, hearing their stories, and just being a steady, comforting presence. I try to bring warmth, humor, and empathy into every visit. It’s important to me to support people during their hardest days, and to ease the load for both them and their caregivers.
I’ve volunteered at a hospice for some time now, offering companionship to patients in critical condition. I’ve also been a babysitter and pet sitter for years, and those experiences have taught me how to be patient, observant, and responsive to others' needs. Whether it’s seniors, children, or animals—I meet people where they are and do my best to make them feel safe and cared for.
I’m CPR, AED, and BLS certified as a lifeguard, so I bring a strong sense of safety and emergency awareness to all caregiving roles. I’m also a great listener, calm under pressure, and know how to adapt to different personalities and situations. At the end of the day, I’m someone who shows up with heart, and I always try to leave things better than I found them.
