I have worked as a certified home health aide doing live-ins with patients with a lot of different health problems, most of whom were older adults who needed someone to assist them with walking and to remind them to take their medicine. I had to prepare meals for them. I had to bathe the patient and help them get into and out of the bed. I had to use the wheelchair, in many instances, to help patients to move around and get from one place to the next.
I have also been trained as a certified nurse’s aide. I went to Burlington County Institute of Technology where I received a certificate for a nurse’s aide. I received a high score of an “A” on my nurse’s aide exam and I was certified as a nurse aide in New Jersey.
I enjoy helping people wherever I am. I often help people in public if they are having difficulty. If someone has fallen, I try to help them to get up and I have helped a lot of people with the activities of daily living.
I have also worked as a substitute teacher. I’ve been certified in Mercer County. I enjoy a great deal helping students with their learning as well as watching them and make sure they stay on task.
