I dont have official certifications as a caregiver but, even since I was young, I would take care of my baby cousins and family friends' kids all the time. At age 19 now, I don't babysit on a regular. I do so occasionally (family events, holidays, vacations, etc.). With that being said, the many times that I have baby sat, I never got paid for it. I was hanging out and babysitting the kids out of good will. I had never thought of asking their parents for money for babysitting. Kids just bring out a certain happiness with their energetic and jolly spirits. As I attend Kean University and work a part time job, some extra side money would bring me nothing but benefit and happiness.
