I am a caring person who loves to help others. I am a neat and organized person who is reliable and flexible.
I took care of my father who needed 24 hour care after suffering from a stroke. He lost all use of his right side, verbal communication abilities were totally lost. He needed assistance in completing all daily functions including eating, bathing, dressing and using the bathroom. I helped care for him almost daily for 2 years.
I have also been a caretaker for my fiance for 3 years, he has PTSD and depression. I have the Easterseals VA Caregiver Certification. I organize his daily medications for him, and ensure that his refills are order so he doesn't run out of anything. I do all his appointment scheduling, and ensure he has transportation. I don't mind doing light housework, shopping, running errands or cooking meals.
