Providing patient care, friendly companionship and helpful service to others is core to my nature. Through my personal experience in assisting disabled, handicapped, and terminally ill family and friends through the years, as well as professional service and training received in Healthcare and Customer Service industries. I've come to greatly value the dignity and worth of each human being. Emotional, mental and physical limitations often brought on and experienced by disease, illness or injury does not mean that the individual should be made to feel or treated as "less than". Rather despite the challenges, may require a bit more assistance, encouragement, kindness and respect, better referred to as "TLC"... I believe that as a Caregiver/Companion, besides the practical "hands on" duties required in this role, it is also just as important that my presence be beneficial in bringing a sense of hope, joy and purpose to their lives, even with accomplishing the simple daily activities that many who are healthier so often take for granted.
