My experience as a Care Companion was assisting my late mother-in-law. When she could no longer drive, I became her part-time caregiver. I assisted in her personal care, prepared meals, transported her to doctor appointments, shopping and other errands. I also performed light housekeeping duties. After about a year, her health deteriorated to where she had to be placed in a full-time care facility.
