I have 3+ years of experience in home health as a CNA (caregiver) and a NAT (nursing assistant training) and two years in a senior care facility, totaling 5+ years of experience in this profession. I have experience with dementia and Alzheimer’s patients. I have lots of experience with incontinence care and Foley catheter care. I am proficient in transfers and using a Hoyer lift. I have training with wound care, and maintaining great overall skin integrity.(bedsores) I have training performing physical therapy exercises, and occupational therapy task. I am proficient in distributing medication and filling med trays. I am excellent at charting on patient files and keeping track of daily records. I am experienced with lots of equipment that will overall help the patients lives daily and families and caregivers lives as well. (Transfer boards, gait belt, shower chairs, commode chairs, trapeze bar, wheelchairs, electric mobile chairs) I have lots of experience with daily ADLs. ( showers, bathing, bed baths, good perineal care, catheter care, colostomy care, dressing, etc..) I am proficient with running errands ( picking up prescriptions, grocery shopping) I have lots of experience with loading and unloading patient in wheelchairs in and out of vehicles to doctor appointments. I do house keeping, I love animals. I schedule doctor appointments, will keep your schedule organized and I prepare meals, specific to the patients diet needs. I truly enjoy the home Heath setting because you can spend quality time with your client and their family. Giving more time to address the needs of the client and more time to give them the best help they need!!
