I’ve been an on and off caregiver for more then ten years, starting off with taking care of my grandma who had a stroke and was paralyzed on the right side of her body. I’ve worked at a senior living with dementia clients and with companionship clients. I am a licensed home care aide and have experience with bathing, toileting, lifting and cleaning. Monica was great the first week with my 3 month old. She was kind and showed up early and ready to help. However, she called in twice within the first 2 weeks both times within an hour or so of starting. The last time she asked to bring her daughter with her and when I replied I wasn’t comfortable with that due to her discomfort with dogs, Monica simply stopped responding and never showed up again. I think Monica would be great for babysitting but I would not recommend her for nannying or any position that you are depending on her consistently.
