I've been a general companion / assistant a couple of times in the past, and found it rewarding to be helpful in such a manner.

A few years back I was a companion to a family friend who was in her 80's. I did some light housekeeping, care of her cats, and would take her out to run errands (shopping, medical appointments, etc.) or simply to lunch.

Some years ago prior to that, I worked for an elderly couple in much the same capacity - my duties similar though I did the shopping for them and also regularly prepared their meals.

Currently I would be available for general companionship and light-duty assistance. If you can provide the vehicle I'm also open to errand running.

I'm comfortable working with/around most pets, though not so much dogs.
