I have three years experience caring for and keeping company for elders. My clients have ranged from 74 to 97. I have excellent references. I have experience transporting elders to and from doctor and dentist appointments, grocery shopping, etc. I plan and prepare meals, do laundry, help with bathing and dressing, encourage outdoor exercise, read aloud, help maintain social and cultural interests with museum visits etc.
In my first position, I served as a companion and carer for an 88 year old woman with mid-stage dementia. We spent time together watching Turner Classic musicals, tending to the houseplants, planning lunch, folding laundry etc. She liked singing and so we frequently sang along with musical numbers.
Recently I attended a black-tie wedding with a 96 year-old client..
I am a college educatedl, curious sort who enjoys music, theater, fine fiction and movies. I'm excellent company. I am looking for up to 40 hours per week. I live in the Morris Park section of the Bronx. I drive
