Irene’s Bio
I am a 30-yr-old female professional performing artist (dance/act/sing) and writer based in NYC. I hold a BFA in Commercial Dance as well as a BA in English/Writing from Pace University in Lower Manhattan. I am originally from Meredith, New Hampshire, but have resided in NYC the past decade for my career. When COVID hit, I lost all of my performing gigs and became a full-time nanny and care-giver, and have been loving it ever since! At this time I also decided to go back to school, and completed my master's degree in Health Education and Promotion via Plymouth State University. Next goal is to get my PhD in Psychology.
I have been a volunteer for the NYC chapter of Achilles International for a decade now. Through this I have gained a lot of valuable experience working with physically and mentally disabled adults. I also volunteer at the local nursing home where I have spent hundreds of hours providing care to the elderly. I have two elderly parents in their 70s and 80s with their own unique health challenges and I am very familiar with dimentia and Alzheimer's. My own 95-year-old grandmother recently passed away, and I was with her every second until she passed, assisting with feeding, diaper changing, medication administration, etc.
I am very comfortable with pets. I do not smoke, drink, or do any drugs. I am wilderness first aid certified, CPR-certified, a vet-verified professional dog walker, and a Red Cross certified babysitter. I am a certified meditation, relaxation, and yoga teacher and completed my yoga teacher training in Goa, India. I am a certified para-professional with experience working full-time with students of all ages and abilities/disabilities in the local public school district.

Wonderful experience with Irene. So easy to communicate with leading up to her (prompt) arrival. She was able to step right in and take care of our child. She was patient and attentive to them and made sure they got to bed on time - keeping watch until we were back. We’ll definitely hire her again.
Irene is the best. Always on time, responsible, patient. My daughter loves her.
Irene took care of our 3 year old daughter in the afternoons for a week when we had a gap in care, picking her up from school, preparing her snacks, and taking her to the playground and short outings. Our daughter adored her. Irene was always on time and was a great communicator.
