Care is my field of expertise. I have been working in childcare for over 4 years including over a years total experience with children with special needs. I have done little paid work with elders, but I have spent time caring for my own grandmother as she ages and spent some time living with her after she broke her hip last year. I believe in providing care that both fulfills my clients needs and respects their autonomy and independence.

For the last 3 years, I've been working as a lifeguard and a swim instructor (for adults and children) at a YMCA in Manhattan and am CPR, AED and First Aid certified. Currently, I am in the process of pursuing an EMT certification and finishing my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Literature. Can provide full resume and multiple references upon request.
