Oh I never have been one before. I do have "general" experience with babysitting younger family members, and other peoples' children back when I was younger but I am more interested in the companion of an elderly person sort of set up? I have an aging grandmother (98 this September) who just transitioned from her home into an assisted living facility. The last five years have been pretty intense (her mental decline and physical limitations) - I am not there, and with covid, I would not be able to visit her but I think having the chance to help and bring light into someone else of that demographic's life would be nice. I am living abroad (away from gran) and I know for SURE she is not getting the treatment she needs and deserves at home, but I have done everything I can to help. I was hoping to be able to serve someone else who is also vulnerable with not many supports - I didn't realize this is a job I could get, or I probably would've searched for it long ago!

No training - I can do that if need be. I have done standard "health" training years ago... CPR and all that stuff. Aside from that I have some geriatrics knowledge from my schooling. I've been working through a clinical counselling master's and we have discussed different demographics in significant detail.
