Hello,
I had spent many years in the corporate world until my Dad became sick.

My Dad moved into my home and was wheelchair bound. I prepared meals, handled medication, doctor visits, transported to and from. As well as scheduled all PT, OT, and nurse visits. I assisted in his showering and due to his diabetes he had a wound on his heel which required daily bandage dressing. He was provided companionship along with the best care and diet.

Thereafter, I cared for a sweet older gentleman who suffered from a stroke. I again prepared meals, tested glucose levels, massaged legs with ointment, assisted with transporting to restroom. In addition, aided with cleaning, organizing and replenishing stock of supplies and food. After time, he became very weak and was bed ridden, I helped his wife in changing sheets, diapers, hoyer lift to living room. My top priority was to ensure he was safe and comfortable, as well as that his wife had lunch and hot tea. My poor dear friend then passed away.

I was then hired to care for a woman who was a cancer patient. She had a tumor on her spine that shattered her vertebrae. I cooked, cleaned, did laundry, utilized a walker chair to transport her to the restroom and lifted her to the toilet; she was tiny, 90 lbs. but there were many trips to the bathroom as she aways had the sensation. Sadly, she ended up in the hospital.

I love the elderly, we might all get to the point we cannot care for ourselves. I provide them with compassion, care, respect, trust, and integrity!!
