Brenda’s Bio
While I do not have paid experience as an adult caregiver, I enjoy spending time with seniors, helping them, and learning about their life experiences.
My grandmother is 97 years old, and I love listening to stories about her life when she was younger. When I take her shopping, she holds on to me while we walk in case she feels unsteady or loses her balance. I also help her around the house with tasks that are easier or less dangerous for me to do than her.
My mother had a cerebral hemorrhage in 2008, and I took care of her for several months at home. She regained almost all her physical abilities but still struggles with memory and language issues. She also has normal pressure hydrocephalus, which is "too much water on the brain." Sometimes this throws off her balance.
My ideal caregiver situation would be as an attentive and friendly companion who also provides light help around the home.

Brenda's responsiveness from the start was superb. She's a great communicator and was one step ahead of me all along the way. She went beyond the basic services that I needed, offering to bring books to read with my son and food to share for dinner. When I facetimed during their time together and asked my son how things were going with Brenda, he said "Actually, she's great!" Later Brenda texted me to let me know that bedtime had gone smoothly, putting my mind at ease so I could enjoy myself fully at the event I was attending. Thank you Brenda!
