I am a retired podiatrist looking to spend a few more years in service to others. This would be in a less hectic environment for a few years till retirement. I have cared for the elderly and disabled in nursing homes as a CNA back in college and also in my podiatry practice. Also for a short stint with the Center for Disabled in Albany and enjoyed the clients much. but cared not for the bureaucracy and their demands to paint the house and mow the lawn of the facility. That went a bit beyond care taking.
Anyway, I would consider myself to be a compassionate and understanding caregiver be it a family member or not.
