35 year's old, Transgender woman.
Enjoys helping and caring for people (especially elderly, I love their stories but children too, they have a glow about them when their happy and it's a joy to see people laugh)
Took care of an elderly woman from age 82-88.
as she got older her illness' worsened requiring me to learn more care techniques,.
On a daily basis I would lay out her medications, prepare a meal or two before I left for the day ( I was living with her, Living in is not an option for me at this time.)
Help cook dinner eventually cooking on my own.
we would sit together talk, watch old movies etc. We would go for walks and do day trips as well.
I have 16 years of Pharmacy knowledge working in that field while taking care of the lady.
I've learned several skills to help keep the someone comfortable.
I am able to preform house tasks, light house work, Meal prep, doesn't have to be light cooking as my skills are rather vast, patient hygiene, helping wash, clipping nails and toes to even helping apply makeup, dressing too if needed. I really enjoy being able to spend time with older people, something about making them smile really makes me feel good. I have a very even temper it is rather impossible to upset me.
My current job requires me to go out and talk to the public on a daily basis about LBGT equality, so I am pretty good and not getting flustered. I am looking to move on to something different because I miss the connection you build when helping someone and learning about their experiences etc.
Honestly all of my training was hands on, I don't have a certification to back me so I am sure I would be limited to helping people who are still able to be left unattended as well.
I apologize if this is all over the place, just trying to cram in as much as possible to help see if I would be a good candidate for your needs.
