My name is Elliott Repka and I have my CASAC-T, CRPA-P, and CARC certifications. I was wondering if you would be willing to assist me in securing a position or if you could help me in finding any positions in Western NY needing those qualifications. I am currently a student at Buffalo State College receiving my Bachelor's degree in Mental Health and Addiction Counseling. I'm a really good student with a 3.86 GPA, and have 3 years experience in the field. I have worked at BestSelf as a Peer Specialist/ CRPA-P, Prevention Focus as a CARC& CRPA-P, Save the Micheals of The World Inc as a CARC, and Restoration Society as a CARC. On July 29th my fiancee is having our first child and all I want to do is to be able to provide for my family. But even more I know I can really make a difference in someone else's life and pass on what was so freely given to me. On December 27, 2014 I was in a one car accident that left me disabled with a shattered pelvis. Having to learn how to walk again after the accident was the first time I couldn't get in my own way and allowed me the fresh start and second chance I truly needed. By listening to the suggestions that people told me I started to develop the skills I needed to help the next person. It started with speaking to high schools about the real life dangers of using drugs and drinking and driving. I had such a huge reaction after the first school I was invited to speak to 15 more and other verious events. From there I received a scholarship to get my CASAC-T, CARC and CRPA-P. If I learned anything from this experience is that my story can truly make an impact but even more so that everything does happen for a reason if you're willing to put the work in.
