Hi! My name is Sara, I am 27 years old and am looking for care companion jobs in Manhattan! I am very flexible with schedules as I am not working right now. My experience with caring for the elderly dates back to being 11 years old caring for my pretty high-functioning 101 year old great-grandmother. I would help her go up and down stairs, get to the bathroom, play board games or cards, make food, give medicine, etc. I don’t have professional/paid experience as a caregiver, but I used to volunteer at an assisted living home when I lived in San Francisco before the pandemic. I would do a lot of the same that I did with my great-grandmother, plus go outside on walks in the facility gardens. I pretty much just talked and hung out with the elderly and we all had so much fun (which is why I am looking for a job in it!). I am open to home and respite care positions!
