Chris R. Care Companion in New York, NY 10023

After a stint on Broadway in 2017, I fell in in love with New York and moved in 2022 from my native Australia. For the past twelve months I have been working as an elder companion on the Upper West Side. This work has been extremely rewarding and some of the most enjoyable and connecting of my week. Supporting and getting to know people in my community has given me a greater sense of belonging here. I'm looking to connect with others that need support, company and a friendly neighbor. I am a genuine people person, patient, outgoing, friendly, easy going and have a great (Australian) sense of humor. I also have almost ten years experience in Australia as a disability support worker, supporting clients with Cerebral Palsy, Motor Nerone Disease and Acquired Brain Injuries. I enjoy going to the theatre, good food and wine, watching and playing sport, cooking and travel.
