Hello, Welcome to my profile, my name is Emma and I'm 24 years old. I am vaccinated! I grew up in a household with 6 siblings, some who had developmental and intellectual disabilities.
My parents were active foster parents. I've always stepped in to help with care, we always had a full house.
At age 14 I started volunteering at my brothers school, summer camps, and a performing arts center for individuals with special needs. In 2015 I got my first paid job working at a residential program, where individuals learned skills on how to better support people. I worked for a few years then transferred to another agency that was similar. I have worked 1on1 in a NYS Program called Self direction. I have also worked in community hab and day hab programs. I have worked other jobs as well but this field is definitely my favorite, as I love working and supporting others.
