     I have been a non medical companion for 5 years. I cook, clean, help do their hair, organize their closets, do laundry, drive clients to Doctors, library, grocery shopping, bank, movies and the beauty salon. I accompany them  to concerts, luncheons with friends, documentaries, help when they entertain at home and show them how to use the computer.  I feed, train, brush, play with and walk their pets.   
     My clients usually think of me as a Jill of all trades. I am happy to do whatever the client likes to do. I love board games, card games and Mah Jongg, talking about current events and usually learn more from my clients than they learn from me. There is much to be said for life experience. I find it makes them happy just to have someone listen to them as they reminiscence as if it is the first time you've heard the story. I am always taking notes so I can refer to them for my clients likes and dislikes.
    I  took care of a woman who has brittle diabetes for 3 1/2 years and currently work for a woman who has Parkinson's disease (1 1/2 years). I occasionally I take care of a 94 years young, charming gentleman who is on oxygen and a lively 98 year old woman who was a ballroom dancer.
I work in Southampton, Monday thru Friday and Riverhead on Saturdays. I would be willing to take positions from Southampton to Riverhead.
