We had scheduled and confirmed on an interview time. I took off from work to be able to meet with this candidate. Unfortunately, this person never showed up. After I contacted her several times, she said she left because she couldn't reach me. That is not true, I did not get any phone calls from her. In fact, I had called her and she did not respond. I also had texted her to ask where she is, and she again did not respond. Only 40 minutes after the scheduled interview time did she text to say that she was already on her way home, claiming she could not reach me. Backing out of her commitment to the scheduled interview, not responding to multiple contact attempts, and giving a false excuse for having missed the interview are unreliable and unresponsive behaviors. I'm glad to find this out sooner rather than later.
