I have been in the healthcare field for 12 years now and most recently worked at a top NY hospital as a patient care technician on a surgical oncology unit(cancer). Before working for the hospital I was a nursing assistant at nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, a pediatric facility as well as home care. I have experience performing ostomy care and blood glucose monitoring. I worked proudly through the COVID pandemic and I would say it was a life changing experience. As a healthcare worker I believe in staying safe and protecting others and continue to practice precautions. I have chosen not to receive the vaccination for my own reasons and do encourage and support those who chose to be vaccinated. I am willing to be tested frequently to ensure the safety of my clients and their families as well as my family. Please consider this if you are interested in care for your loved ones.
